After a very close game at the Regional Semifinals on Dec. 26 against Victoria West High School, Senior Aidan Featherby comforts one of the Senior football players on the opposing team. Featherby, who has always represented the Hornet characteristics of Class, Pride, and Heart, says “At that moment, I knew exactly what he was going through. Football is our whole lives and his senior season had come to a close. That night very well could have been the end of our season and if that were to be the case, I would want to be comforted too. On that field, we are all the same. We are all one family, regardless of what jersey we wear.”Sophomore Julia Volesky performs a front dive half twist in the Regional Diving Meet, which took place at the Corpus Christi Natatorium the morning of Feb. 4. Volesky, who placed sixth, says, “A lot of the time we are nervous before we compete a dive, but once you get in the air, that all goes away and you are only focused on doing the dive exactly how you practiced.”
